At Winsome Tots Nursery, every morning is built around a simple idea: children thrive when they have both a secure home base and the freedom to explore. Our morning runs from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and it’s shaped around a gentle zone rotation — a Montessori-informed carousel that blends focused group learning with hands-on time in our specialist spaces
Our Daily Rhythm
8:00 – 8:30 | Arrival & Free Play
Children arrive and settle in at their own pace, in the comfort of their own home base.
8:30 – 9:15 | Learning Block 1
Our FS2 children tour our specialist zones this block, while FS1 and Pre-FS enjoy focused group learning in their home base.
9:15 – 9:45 | Snack Break
A relaxed, social pause together.
9:45 – 10:15 | Learning Block 2
Our FS1 children take their turn touring the specialist zones, while FS2 and Pre-FS continue focused learning in their home base.
10:15 – 10:30 | Transition
A calm changeover between activities.
10:30 – 11:15 | Learning Block 3
Our Pre-FS children tour the specialist zones, while FS2 and FS1 continue their focused learning.
11:15 – 11:30 | Transition
Another gentle changeover before the morning’s final session.
11:30 – 12:00 | Creative & Reflection Time
The morning winds down with Expressive Arts, story time, class discussion and a warm goodbye.
Our Toddlers spend their whole morning in their own home base, with sensory and structured play designed just for their age and stage.

Montessori Room
Practical life and sensorial materials: pouring, spooning, sorting, threading, and more, building independence and concentration one small task at a time.
Indoor Play Area
Our sand pit and stage, where active, imaginative play, music and movement come to life.
Exploration Zone
Tuff Tray and sensory activities alongside continuous provision, for open-ended, hands-on exploration.
Why We Do It This Way
Rather than one long, unstructured free-play session, every child gets focused, teacher-led learning time in their own home base each day — plus a dedicated, purposeful visit to a specialist environment designed to spark curiosity and independence. It’s a rhythm that mirrors a core Montessori principle: a prepared environment that lets children build concentration and confidence, all within the security of a predictable daily routine.
